A remote desktop that opens in a browser — no install

A real-time remote desktop for seeing and controlling a PC far away. The person connecting doesn't install anything — any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, …) is enough. Screen, sound, keyboard/mouse, and files all travel end-to-end encrypted (DTLS-SRTP), with accounts, roles, and permissions managed per organization. You can even run the connection server (gateway) yourself, so data never leaves your org.

Free plan free · paid tiers above Latest 0.10.3 No install · browser End-to-end encrypted Accounts & roles Self-hosted gateway

Install the app on the PC you want to show (the host) and register it; the viewer connects from a browser with just a link and an access code. It works from a phone browser too, with touch control.

Key features

🔌 Browser access, no install

The viewer sees and controls the screen from a browser — no install, no sign-up. On a phone, control by touch. Web, Android, iOS, and desktop viewers are all supported.

👤 Accounts · roles · permissions

Create accounts per organization, user, and role, and set rights like "view only" or "full control". Groups and group policies, a company enrollment key (bulk / self-enrollment), and two-factor auth (TOTP) are built in. Sign in with a NetServ unified account (SSO), and admins can bring members into the organization with invite codes.

🖥️ Crisp live screen & sound

Fluid H.264 video, and you also hear the remote PC's sound (the web viewer has sound on/off with a volume slider, a collapsible top menu bar, and a camera picture-in-picture you can move and resize). Bitrate adapts to the link, and lost segments are recovered with FEC · NACK.

🖱️ Real-time remote control

Drive the remote PC with keyboard and mouse. The window opens maximized so the remote screen fills it, and on multi-monitor hosts Monitor1 is shown by default (switch any time). On mobile use tap, drag, pinch-zoom and pan gestures.

📁 File / folder transfer · clipboard sync

Transfer files and whole folders both ways, or drag-and-drop to send. Text and image clipboards sync automatically between the two ends.

⏺️ Screen recording

Record the remote session to MP4 — keep it for always-on monitoring, training, or audit.

🌙 Unattended access · remote power

Reach a registered PC even when nobody is there, and wake a sleeping PC over Wake-on-LAN. You can connect and control even at the login screen.

🔐 End-to-end encryption · auto-fallback

Screen, input, and files are encrypted over WebRTC (DTLS-SRTP). When a direct link is up the gateway steps aside; when NAT or a firewall blocks it, a TURN relay takes over so it connects anywhere.

🛡️ Automatic failover

If the primary server (NAS) fails, service automatically fails over to a cloud standby — verified with real failover drills.

How it works

The viewer (browser or app) and the host first sign in and find each other through the gateway. The gateway brokers the connection details (SDP · ICE); then the two computers link directly (P2P) where possible to exchange screen, sound, input, and files — and the gateway steps aside. If a direct link is blocked, they fall back to a TURN relay. The gateway handles accounts and signaling, and also serves the install-free web viewer.

Run the gateway (accounts · signaling) and TURN relay yourself and screen, input, and files never leave your organization — accounts, access policy, and data stay under your control.

The viewer works right now from a browser. The Windows app isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn on first run — choose "More info → Run anyway". Android installs by sideload — allow "install unknown apps". After install, the app updates itself when a new version ships. The Android APK is still 0.1.0 and doesn't yet include the latest features — a phone browser is recommended instead.

How is it different from Classic?

Both are remote desktops, but they suit different needs. Classic installs on both ends and is a proven fit for closed / internal networks, while WebRTC lets the viewer connect from a browser only and is strong on accounts, roles, and easy access. For quick remote support and easy access from outside, choose WebRTC; for always-on monitoring on a closed network, choose Classic.

Dedicated gateway (self-hosting)

Instead of the shared server, we set up a dedicated gateway for your organization. You manage accounts and access rights yourself, and run it so that screen, input, and files never leave your org.

WebRTC runs on NetServ's connectivity infrastructure — ServerKit · ConnectKit. If you need the developer SDKs / servers instead, see Products.
